Carroll James Lindsey was born in January of 1930 to Ralph and Ida Mae (Cofer) Lindsey in the family farm house on the Lindsey Century Farm north of Buffalo. Three generations of Lindsey’s have lived in the farmhouse since it was built by Dallas County Physician and Grandfather Carroll Joseph Lindsey in 1898. more

Christopher Avery Goodman, born in 1997, was charged by Dallas County Prosecuting Attorney Jonathan D. Barker in Dallas County Circuit Court with two counts of the class D felony of arson in the second degree and two counts of the class E felony of knowingly burning on February 10, 2024. more

Linda (Tolley) Bond was born in West Virginia to her father Willie Sherman, and mother Clata Perdue. She grew up alongside her 3 sisters, Alma, Mary, and Martha and brother, Jim. From a young age Linda was very intelligent. Living in Boston around the age of 12, while with foster parents, she was offered to enroll at a special academic 2 year Latin school, but was taken home to West Virginia before she could attend. more

At 3:30 p.m., on February 12, 2024, A juvenile, 16, Buffalo, was driving a 1995 Chevrolet S10 eastbound and crossing US 65, one mile south of Buffalo, when he failed to yield, causing Kenneth G. Marlett, 61, Boonville, to crash into the side of the Chevrolet in a 2013 Chrysler 200. Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene. Marlett suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Cox South by EMS. Marlett was wearing a safety device, and the juvenile was not. more
The Buffalo Board of Aldermen met for city council meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 12. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mayor Brandon Kenall and then he called the meeting to order. more
At 6:40 p.m. on February 8, 2024, Joseph Hich, 25, Elkland, was driving a 2006 Toyota Tacoma on Route H and Navy Rd., four miles east of Buffalo, when he failed to stop at a stop sign and crashed into a ditch. Hich faced moderate injuries and was transported to Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar. The vehicle had minor damage and was driven from the scene. The driver was not wearing a safety device. more
Buffalo High School's Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter showcased their exceptional talents at the District 13 Competitions held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 in Bolivar, Missouri. The event, which drew participation from 22 schools and over 500 members, served as a platform for students to demonstrate their skills and expertise in various business disciplines. more

The Beau Fournier Memorial Mom Prom is from 6-10:30 p.m. on March 2 at Timber Line Barn. Tickets are now on sale. Ladies must be 21 or over to attend the prom and identification will be checked on the event night. more
Missouri Health Outcome ranking is dismal. In the overall ranking, published by America’s Health Rankings, Missouri ranks 40 out of 50 states. This is a drop from 24 in 1990. Missouri has ranked 40 on two other occasions in 2011 and 2017. more
